  • Android device bricked, RIFF box ??

    Hi All,

I'm facing to a big issue on one device sold by my compagny.

i'm working with professionnal customers, and we sold a big quantity of devices on Android.

My question concern a device manufactured by Bluebird :

Without any reason, some devices are bricked randomly (10ea / 6000), there is nothing displayed, no LED, no charge. When I connect a device to the computer, a COM port is created (qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008).

The manufacturer don't want repair the mainboard, and just tell me "replace the mainboard by a new one". I think it's not really the good solution.

There is no hardware issue, it's only a software faulty.
The CPU is a QUALCOMM MSM8916
I have these OS files with me :

My question is : is the RIFF BOX can save my devices?

    Thx for your help !

Most probably a case of dead eMMC chip.
If You can get ISP pinout, You might be able to at least check whats wrong exactly.

I successed save one device today !!!

I use Miflash (from xiaomi) and some files from the Redmi 2... This phone use the same CPU. So after some test with the soft (but 100% fail !!), the device has reboot

But impossible to save another device :/ fail again and again :/

I know that this it is a software issue, but it's difficult without good files

        Bro

Why dont you creat a good backup
And use that on bricked one
Isp rework by Riff Box can also create a backup of good file

        Br.,

          Hi,

Because I don't know the power of the RIFF box
But yes I already thought about it (without box) by dump emmc with software, but device need to be rooted... And it's not possible on this PDA !

So, for you, it is possible to dump emmc by ISP on working device, and use this backup on dead device ?

If a moderator can confirm me that it is possible

          BR

            Re,

            this is the pinout

DAT0 is missing on a component I think there is just a wire between IC and CPU...
