On the sticker it says:

A dump of the 24c08 eeprom is attached.

Thanks masterskay62, I will try the code once the radio allows me to enter something. So far it only shows "SAFE" and I guess I just have to wait some timeout before entering the 1154 code.

Thank you for helping me out! Code 1154 works!

After connecting power to the radio the "SAFE" text appeared. Because we were unable to enter the code, we just switched off the radio and waited 24 hours. (This is the amount of hours one has to wait after 7 failed attempts of entering a wrong code.)

I am getting very curious though, how did you find out?

The decoding software for Grundig car radios (v4) which circulates on the internet needs certain bytes from th eeprom dump, which are all 0xFF in my case. So can someone explain, which bytes are used for the code and how does the decoding takes plays to the four digits?

Hi, Just been into first service at S2-Smarts Watford since owning the car.
Unfortunately it seems either the previous owner failed to pass on the code, or the dealer decided to exclude it from the paperworks.
Is anyone please able to assist - I do love listening to the sound of that tiny chirping engine, but sometimes the Radio keeps the missus quite!!
