Turns out we never got the radio unlock code when we got our car... and Vauxhall seem to be into daylight robbery for this. Can anyone work this out from the serial number of the radio?

I have a Vauxhall Astra VDO CDR500 Serial GM 13 107 918. Seem to have lost the code. I'm not sure who you guys are or why you're happy to be so altruistic (thanks), but if you have the code for this I'd be grateful.

Ahhh.

Hmm, wondering if the serial number is long enough from previous post (and whether anyone can help anyway!), that is the number on the back of the little panel that pops off the front of the CD player for security purposes (as if anyone would want to nick it - it's really quite an old basic CD player!).

Hi there - I wonder if anyone can help me please?

I have just bought a new van privately, and the radio was fine.

Came out to start it this morning - nothing - battery totally dead.

Jumped it - took it to halfords and needs new battery - done, but now the Radio is saying "SAFE"

They told me that I needed a Radio Code - but when I went to Vauxhall they said I needed the Log Book in my name, not just the green bit AND they wanted to charge me £25!!!!

Can anyone help??

Radio is a CAR 2003 -

There are some numbers on the side -

then on the other side it says

E1 (in a box) then 02 1465

Can anyone help me with the code at all please?
