Landrover Defender radio code wanted.

Hi, have charged the battery on the defender, on reconnection cd /radio is asking for code.
But the original security code supplied with vehicle does not work.
The cd/radio unit is a visteon [56plate] radio serial no. 72856
Any advice please.

I don`t recognise the Serial Number quoted
Post all the letters+numbers on any labels,barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.

This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated

Hi ,thanks for your reply. I will post more info soon, as the radio is still in the defender . The serial no quoted was from the original land rover security information supplied. I can't understand why the original radio security code will not work?

Serial Numbers and codes quoted in the car documents are often incorrect.

The S/N details on the actual radio are required

If not successful then sorry....will only be available from the Main Dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service to obtain this code

It will not be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet

Unfortunately I don`t think the code for these Visteon radios with seven digit Serial Numbers can be calculated.

Ford Dealer database or a Radio Decoding Service only and unlikely to be free
