Hi Last year in cornwall sat nav obviously decided it liked it there and would stay, despite me driving home to wales!...it did change it's position to the middle of the bristol channel but not moved since. No green satellite symbol, stays red.
Not sure if this is something that requires a reset for which I don't have the access code [hence this posting ] or whether the GPS aerial needs replacing on roof...I think it may have had a knock whilst unloading a bike from rear rack, but not showing signs of damage.
The details on Carminat unit are [in case it is a code requirement]
RENAULT Model no. RNNMK130-00
Indus VDO 0123456789
Product no. FD0303380027356
Additionally there is another number marked as VDO car communications RNNM0430027356
Another sticker on unit says Radisys Microware MIPS - 05-9 +net 4037206
My radio code is 0270 is that is also needed
Any help or advice to what might be problem would be greatly appreciated as although I went and bought a new portable Garmin unit, it seems silly not to try to sort out what is after all a very expensive fitted unit. I have tried using both discs original and the new updated one...connections on back of disc unit all look ok.
Thought I'd ask before just buying a new roof gps and making a mess of my roof lining
Thanks guys
Steve
