i just put new battery on and no got radeo cd code. went to garage who used info and came back with 2 different codes however the codes had a 7 and an 8 in them numbers on sterio only go up to 6 !!!
any help would be apreciated info is

In case anyone is in this position I went to my local main dealer and they got the correct code for me for £23, the online price I was being quoted was £25 so not everything is cheaper online. see post #44 above (I should have used reply with quote)

Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet
is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
C 7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.

If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service
or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
inside your radio

This stereo is often referred to as a "Married" or "VIN CODED" radio, as it does not have a normal security Code number, but is instead electronically paired to the engine management system of the vehicle it came out of, and as such cannot be easily transferred from vehicle to vehicle, even if it is the same model of Car.

When it is first powered up, it will communicate with the vehicle, and if this has been successfull, it will switch on and function in the normal way.

However, if removed and refitted into a different vehicle other than the original one, it will not recognise the encrypted identification of the new car, and you may find that the radio may not power up at all, or if it does, you may find yourself with an irritating beep every few seconds over the sound of the radio.

Numpty needs a code for a Peugeot 206 2040 radio/cassette

Hi, I'm new here, but I'm impressed with all I've read so far. I was trying to fit an old Sony minidisc head unit to my 206. Not as simple as I remember it being. I guess older cars were easier to swap units about. Anyway the sony doesn't fit even with loads of adaptors so I've slotted the old Blaupunkt back into the car. Of course as everyone here has found, once the radio is out putting it back in requires a code, a code I don't have. The unit details are as follows,

Serial No BP814818705976
Model 7648146392

Can anyone work out, or provide the code for this unit please ?
