WRONG ENTRY
If a wrong entry is made , then the display reverts to CODE allowing another attempt.
After a third incorrect attempt, a 30 minute delay ensues before a fourth try may be attempted.
The display shows WAIT 30:00 with the time counting down to 00:00
Once at 00:00 , CODE is displayed again and the unit is ready for another KeyCode attempt.
If further wrong codes are entered then this waiting procedure must then be followed between each single successive attempt up to a total of TEN
If even more wrong codes are entered then LOCK 13 .will appear on the display. If your radio displays LOCK 13 then the only option now is to take it in to the Ford Main Dealer or Decode Specialist so that they can electronically unlock it ~Unfortunately there is no D-I-Y method to unlock this LOCK 13 situation so be prepared to pay a small fortune !
TEN WRONG ENTRIES LOCK 10
After TEN incorrect Keycode entry attempts LOCK 10 (or LOCKED ) will appear to confirm that the unit is now locked out.
According to Ford you must now take the unit into your local Ford Dealer to unlock it, however
LOCK10 or 13.
Lock 10 comes up when the wrong code has been entered 10 times, Lock 13 comes up when the wrong code has been entered 13 times.
It's an extra anti theft / security thing.
If lock 13 is on, the only way out is through a garage with electronic means of removing the Lock.
Lock 10 can be overcome by holding in 6 whilst switching the radio ON
Providing your KeyCode was correct then your radio / cassette or CD should now be working
