Radio code for Seat Leon Cupra R 2006

Hello all, first post so go easy on me. I bought a Cupra R this week and have just replaced a blown fuse in the radio/6 CD player. The code is hand written on the radio guide - 0687 and is not being accepted. After inputting the code and pressing prog it goes into safe mode. After waiting an hour and inputting the same code and I tried pressing scan instead of prog, this did nothing so tried prog again and now it’s back into safe mode. I can only guess the code itself is incorrect?

The serial number on the radio is 014SEZ2Z6D2911469
