Many thanks for the prompt response.

If you can help further, that would be much appreciated.

I don't know how much you know about entering this code but now that I have got this far, I know that the display is gone. No light, no text from what I can see and no intention to fix it if I can get the radio to function (will be using mp3 player).
Now I know the radio works as I can here the CD changer boot up and I just tried blindly entering a code (could not for the life of me remember the exact code, went down to check the display) and it did beep at the end to it's wrong.

So, following the method, I know I use the scroll wheel on the wheel control to select each digit and the ¬ to progress. But any idea which way to turn the scroll wheel - up or down - to increase the digit from presumably zero as a starting point?

            FOR NO STEERING CONTROL
press the first preset button for the 1st digit,
second button for the 2nd digit
            third button for 3rd digit
            forth button for 4th digit
then press and HOLD button 6 to store. for 10 seconds

ps.cd changer sometime needs the code to.

Please look for a second barcode that starts with C7
the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet
is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
                C 7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.

If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service
or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
                inside your radio)

Should be more like this barturas: 404 Not Found
Check the sides. It might be etched in instead.

I gave mine a go but must have got it wrong. Now I get a beep if I press anything

my car was bought 10 years ago ... I've found among all the documents dealer and second hand dealer ... But it seems that these companies have vanished ...
and the unlock companies on internet offer me code for 20-25GBP ... It's cheaper to buy same radio on eBay ... :/
