Thanks for your reply. I don't know what the AS button is. But I was waiting to reply after I had tried any of the buttons on the radio. Fortunately I didn't need to. My radio is now working. The solution was: leaving the radio switched on for 2+ hours in order that it reset itself and displayed "Code" for the first time for years. I entered my code, 2550 and the radio works.
