Renault megane 04 radio code

Hi all,

I tried to be helpful the other day and changed the good ladie's alternator as the other one died, this meant of course disconecting the battery and you know the reast. No radio.

Therefore i am asking like all the others for a bit of help if you don't mind.

You must hold at the end to store your code.
IF YOU DONT HAVE ¬ KEY THEN PUSH THUMBWHEEL IN AND SOME HAVE {A¬} KEY

Turn on the radio and the display will show 'CODE'
Use the steering controls for code entry.
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct first digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct second digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct third digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct fourth digit
If the correct code is now shown on screen,
press and hold the [ ¬] button for up to 10 seconds to store the code

selector wheel (right side) with options

to enter code, i press *1 (x8) *2 (x1) *3 (x1) ...etc...

FOR YOUR MODEL The Code number is entered by using the remote steering controls, and not through the buttons on the fascia. BUT YOU CAN TRY THIS WAY
FOR NO STEERING CONTROL
press the first preset button for the 1st digit,
second button for the 2nd digit
third button for 3rd digit
forth button for 4th digit
then press and HOLD button 6 to store. for 10 seconds

and on some it's hold 5 to store.

Code Entry as Follows:

Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" 0000 " with the 1st digit flashing
Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit
Press " ¬ " On The Stalk Control To Enter
Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit
Press " ¬ " On The Stalk Control To Enter
Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit
Press " ¬ " On The Stalk Control To Enter
Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit
If the correct code number is now shown
Press And Hold " ¬ " Until A Beep Is Heard

i just had a go with the wheel bttns ....and now i have broke it lol. :willy_nilly:
cos it just says CODE ..
no flashing 0000 ...every button just makes a error sound !

Is there any help for this ??

Please note that code entry is only possible when a number is flashing in the seperate display. If the display continually shows "CODE" then the unit may be codelocked and will need to be left switched on up for up to two hours to reset before another code entry attempt is possible. :-)

Also quote the SECURITY NUMBER. This is found on a label on the metal casing in the format TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode

If in doubt post ALL the letters+numbers on any labels or barcodes

wrong Megane Scenic radio code

Hi,

can you please help me with radio code for my Renault Scenic?

Numbers are:
8200128228TN005
Model 22DC280/62P
T0N005
RN280F20005253
Product FD0102270005253

Renault have given me 2 codes, 5340 and 1741, and they're both wrong (and now I have to wait 32 minutes before I can re-enter code!). I've also tried both steering controls as well as buttons on radio itself without success.
