yes thats the right code if still not working then the radio must have been re-coded and your need to go to a Decode Service who will plug it into a laptop and electronically read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

Please note that code entry is only possible when a number is flashing in the seperate display. If the display continually shows "CODE" then the unit may be codelocked and will need to be left switched on up for up to two hours to reset before another code entry attempt is possible.
      Code Entry as Follows:

Switch Radio On - Display Shows
      " 0000 " with the 1st digit flashing
Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit
Press " ¬ " On The Stalk Control To Enter
Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit
Press " ¬ " On The Stalk Control To Enter
Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit
Press " ¬ " On The Stalk Control To Enter
Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit
If the correct code number is now shown
Press And Hold " ¬ " Until A Beep Is Heard

You must hold at the end to store your code.
IF YOU DONT HAVE ¬ KEY THEN PUSH THUMBWHEEL IN AND SOME HAVE {A¬} KEY

Turn on the radio and the display will show 'CODE'
Use the steering controls for code entry.
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct first digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct second digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct third digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct fourth digit
If the correct code is now shown on screen,
press and hold the [ ¬] button for up to 10 seconds to store the code

          FOR NO STEERING CONTROL
press the first preset button for the 1st digit,
second button for the 2nd digit
          third button for 3rd digit
          forth button for 4th digit
then press and HOLD button 6 to store. for 10 seconds

and on some it's hold 5 to store.

Hi again, thanks for that... I am almost certain that this radio has been recoded as I have followed all the intructions which are the same as in the radio manual and still no luck. After 32 minutes the display shows the 4 zeros with the first flashing as you mentioned. After entering the last number so that the display shows 4383 with the last three flashing, I press and hold " ¬ " Until A Beep Is Heard but then is goes back to displaying "ERROR".

Oh well many thanks for all of you that have helped me, guess I'll have to take it to a dealer that can recode if for me.

            cheers,

            Colin
