Renault clio radio code

Hi, I have just bought a Clio, and having the same issues as everyone else, but where do I find the numbers everyone is quoting?

you need to remove the radio.
they are too small holes each side of the radio
use an old metal coat hanger 4 darts or very small screwdriver or long nails.
put into holes about 4-5cms and push outwards sideways
and carefully pull radio forward.
you must do the holes on each side at the same time

Then post the numbers/letters from below the main fat barcode
something like 7700xxxxxxt123 or 8200xxxxtt123 or
the security code like Q123 or T0U123
can be found in a small box then i can help you

If it is showing ERROR then it has to be reset.

Leave SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset. (shows CODE)

Once reset enter the code and press the final button for 10 seconds to store it.

FOR CARS WITH A STEERING WHEEL REMOTE CONTROL

(Note :If you don`t have the [ ¬ ] button then push the thumbwheel in and some will have an [ A¬ ] button )

Turn on the radio and the display will show 'CODE'

Use the Steering Wheel Remote Controls for code entry.

Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct first digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct second digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct third digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct fourth digit

If the correct code is now shown on screen,
press and hold the [ ¬] button for up to 10 seconds to store the code


IF THERE IS NO STEERING WHEEL CONTROL , THEN USE THE PRESET BUTTONS ON THE RADIO

Press the First Preset Button repeatedly for the 1st digit to be displayed
Press the Second Preset Button repeatedly for the 2nd digit to be displayed
Press the Third Preset Button repeatedly for 3rd digit to be displayed
Press the Fourth Preset Button repeatedly for 4th digit to be displayed

Then press and HOLD Preset button 6 for 10 seconds to store your code

(Note :Some radios use Preset Button 5 to store the code )

Hi again Regworts, I very much appreciate your posts for me. Ok hears the deal. It is defianalty F480 Security. I have switched the radio on and left it undisturbed for as long as it took for the "ERROR" message to change to "0000" The first 0 was flashing so I pressed the [ ¬ ] buton on the underside of the column. This then started the first 2nd 0 flashing. So I thought that I would need to go back and change the 1st zero so continued with the code (4383 until I got back to the first 0 to change it to 4using the wheel. So having followed the instrctions VERY carefully I got to the last digit being the 3 and pressed [ ¬ ] this took me back to the 1st digit being a "4" flashing again. I cant seem to enter the code so that all the digits are static.. at all times there is always one digit flashing. I have tried the whole code so that I have 4383 displayed (with the last 3 flashing and pressed and held the [ ¬ ] for more than 10 seconds which is where I always get the beep. This must be as frustrating for you as it is me! I must be doing something wrong but I really dont know what.

Hi and thanks for your advice. I am beginning to wonder if the code I have is the right one as I have tried all of your suggestions with no avail. I thnk what I will do is take a phot of the radio specs and post it here.
