I believe E3 is a "Mechanical Error" according to my list of error codes.

The reality is with car CD players is that there are very few things you can do if an error code comes up apart from making sure the CD disc loads (mechanically) OK into the player and starts to spin .....and also make sure the laser lens is clean.( search for CD lens cleaner on Ebay )

If the above suggestions don`t work then it is usually more economical to buy a replacement unit.
