Opel Astra 1999 Car 400 radio. Have the Radio Pass but the code is incorrect....!

Hi, I recently got my clutch changed and the mechanic disconnected the battery power without asking me first. My radio is now asking for a serial, which I have but is incorrect, and I hope someone can help me with this. These are the numbers that I can extract from the Radio Pass:

Type: CAR 400
Serial NO. : GM0400X2204984
Code NO.: 8693 but this one doesn't work......!

I treid the AS button an at same time turn on the radio. Comes up 9 ----.
Treid two times the code on the Radio Pass and nothing, still SAFE but now I have 7 times left to enter the right code.

Please help me.

Try once only, then if doesn't works, wait for right code...

Code Entry as Follows:

Turn Off Stereo
Switch On Ignition (No Need To Start Engine)

Press & Hold Preset " AS " and
Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" SAFE " And Then Shows " 10 - - - - "

Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit

If the correct code number is now shown
Press & Hold Preset " AS " Until the Unit Beeps
